JAPS XI

JAPS XI is a Hattrick football club from Surrey, England (even though the owner now lives in Kent). The club was formed on the 7th of July, 2006. JAPS XI are managed by JAPS1471. Three times winners of Div VI and also winners of V, JAPS XI are yet to achieve Div IV level, but hope to soon.

History

JAPS1471 took over the team on the 7th of July, 2006, finding himself with a team without focus and bottom of VI with only 3 games of the season left. This unfortunately meant that JAPS1471 was doomed to an early demotion. Luckily for JAPS the board expected this and did not fire him, and with his immediate promotion back up to VI he immediately found favour with both the board and the fans.

Japs took 5 seasons to escape VI, but eventually on the 30th of May, 2008 promotion to V was secured after a storming, injury free campaign. Unfortunately this time in V was short lived, being pushed from 6th, to 7th in the last day of the season, but JAPS XI were unhappy with being back in VI and were determined to prove themselves, that season they reached the 5th round of the Cup (after a favourable draw due to them being in V previously). JAPS XI also managed to win VI that season and secure promotion. Followed by two 1st place finishes in V, but losing the play-off games in both instances. After the second of these seasons the division received a handful of tough teams, meaning JAPS XI was forced to stave off relegation, coming 6th for two seasons, in the latter being 7th for the majority of the season until the final game.

The Cup

JAPS XI best Cup-run to date is Round 6, achieved in Season 42, but JAPS XI have also reached the 5th round of the Cup in Season 40 and 43. And have currently reached Round 5 in season 45.

Stadium

The Colosseum has been regularly upgraded over the seasons. The current stadium, at 50,000, is yet to be sold out. The name of the stadium, comes from JAPS1471's childhood, from the PS1 game Destruction Derby 2 [1]

Fan Club

JAPS1471 has become such an integral part of the club, the Fans have nicknamed themselves The Discordian's after JAPS's religion, Discordianism [2]

Pat Cuthbert

Pat Cuthbert was a youth trainee bought for over £1.5 million (£1,586,667) who has been trained as a front runner to the new and improved XI. Pat also played one match for the U20's and scored [3]. He hopes to represent his country again one day.
