Little River Lions

Little River Lions are an Oceanian football club based in Little River, Victoria. Managed by Butterlandings99, the club currently competes in IV.21 (Oceania).

The club was founded on 6 November 2023 and plays its home matches at Little River Recreational Reserve. Little River Lions are supported by their fan club, the Lions Legion.

History

Little River Lions were founded on 6 November 2023 and quickly began climbing through the Oceanian league system. Based in the small Victorian town of Little River, the club has developed a reputation for determination and ambition despite its relatively short history.

The club's first major success came in Season 74 when they won the V.2 league title, securing their first championship. The title was achieved after a strong season in which the Lions established themselves as one of the leading clubs in their division.

In Season 75, Little River Lions attempted to defend their title and were involved in a closely contested championship race with Fireupsuckers. The battle for first place lasted until the final matchday, where Fireupsuckers claimed the title on goal difference. The narrow defeat remains one of the most memorable moments in club history.

Following several seasons of rebuilding and development, the Lions returned to the top of V.2 in Season 81, winning their second league championship. The title confirmed the club's ability to remain competitive across multiple eras and secured their place among the notable clubs to have competed in the division.

The club currently competes in IV.21 (Oceania) and continues to pursue further success within the Oceanian league system.
