| Alves started his career in the original squad of [[Sport Lisboa e Amieira]] playing as a [[wingback]], and he was irreplaceable until he was transferred to [[Johannes Åpen Bar]] at the age of 34.

Two seasons after, Alves tried to play in [[Israel|Israelian]] club [[bigori]] but he was shortly afterwards sold to [[Club Adolfo Rodríguez]] in a "[[day trading]]" transfer.
