You're gonna have to sit tight and give others a chance to add to it. Or you can go to non-HT-USA and study up for yourself. I don't have the time atm to do more myself. This weekend if others haven't done so by then.

I'm doing a little now. Btw, you could probably delete some of the comments on your user talk page. --[[User:Septimusjm|septimusjm]] 16:08, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Do you mind if I make a seperate page for the Youth Academy. At the minute it is part of the page [[Youth]].

I joined you, the adminstrators as the responsible of the Hebrew Wiki. There is a chance to change my user name in Hattrick Wiki to MELAFEFON-omerzigdon (like in hattrick)? --[[User:Omerzigdon|Omerzigdon]] 13:30, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

== User pages ==
As you might have notices I'm trying to move all actricles about users to user pages. What do you think I should do with Hattrick workers? Should they have their own article (like [[Mod-Beachboy]] by example) or should those pages be moved to a user page ([[User:Mod-Beachboy]]? Please let me know what you think. --[[User:Rob184|Rob184]] 22:49, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

:IMHO workers should be in the main namespace. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 09:57, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Can't see why my addition was removed, imo an addition that is good to know. At least the part "No matter how good your team experience is you are still very likely to lose some midfield due to confusion." could've been left there. No? <small>(unsigned comment by [[User:Hoo-cee|Hoo-cee]])</small>

Hi!

== Interwiki ==

Hi, Jhattara. What do you think about adding interwiki? For example: [[Hattrick]].
--[[User:MOMOOO|MOMOOO]] 18:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
: That's exactly why I created the Interwiki templates. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 08:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey guys, why can't you setup <nowiki>[[lang:article_name]]</nowiki> to work correct, just like on wikipedia.org? I'm very disappointed with these new templates. --[[User:Aakholop|Artem Kholopov]] 16:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
: It's not up to us. It's up to the HTs. I could ask them if it could be done without too much work or taking up lots of more resources. As it is I think the templates I created work, but don't look pretty. And it's better than the previous state of no interwiki links. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 17:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::Would it ([[User:MOMOOO/Interwiki test]]) be better? --[[User:MOMOOO|MOMOOO]] 17:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::: I like the Interwiki templates I did more. The navigation template style usually works very well, but I think that in this case it would just clutter the pages. Maybe if the header (Interwiki) was left out, and the width would be adjusted to the contents. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 18:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::(to Jhattara) I would be thankful if you do this --[[User:Aakholop|Artem Kholopov]] 18:23, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::: Seen [http://wiki.hattrick.org/User_talk:Tjecken?curid=12131&diff=83902&oldid=56705&rcid=84392 this edit] right now. As soon as jhattara has commented on that menu thingy, I'll ask a GM for help (to tell the HTs about). I think it's the best thing I also ask for a newer version of wikimedia and for a possible switch to multiple language versions. Also I'm going to ask to make jhattara Bureaucrat, that way round he can kick out the lazy administrators and has more rights on other things also (afaik...). I can't promise we get anything of this though (it's better to expect nothing and to get something than expecting everything and getting nothing). The HT wiki has grown a lot during the last months (especially since I made a request via the GMs to get wikidev.net lock out the IPs from editing). Let's pray and hope it won't take too long. --[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 19:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
:::: I checked the navigation menu suggestions shortly and thought that it's too long as it is. It should have 0 double entries and be as short as possible. See [[Hattrick_talk:HattrickWikiProject_Policies_and_guidelines#New_rules|this]] for more details. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 20:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

== Template in a template ==

Question about templates. I tried to use the <nowiki>{{Flag/}}</nowiki> template for [[Sean Granner]]. Is there any possibility to use a template in a template? That would allow me to replace the two flags in the Infobox. --[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 03:27, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

If you're around, there's a new spambot that needs to be blocked. I'm playing whack-a-mole with it right now. --[[User:Mr Wednesday|Mr Wednesday]] 21:44, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey,

== Inactive ==
I changed my pagina Title again, because my team name is commonly known as Red Star Brussels. In Belgium, team prefixes are often based on the origins of the team, but are not always referred to in common talk or writing. I prefer to keep the standard name thus. Also, i wouldn't want to go change all my other articles that are connected to it again...
We'll miss you. Hope you return soon, but all the best in the mean time!! --[[User:Rob184|Rob184]] 14:12, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

== It's good to take some vacation... ==
: I moved the page again (this time correctly) because that is the team's full name. Pages that link to Red Star Brussels still lead to the correct article, so no need to change them. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 21:48, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, can you please migrate [[:Template:Club]] to aspx? --[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 13:43, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Just curious what you're up to with all of these new templates? I assume it's part of a bigger plan. --[[User:Mr Wednesday|Mr_Wednesday]] 19:11, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
: Done. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 07:10, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
: Trying to reduce the number of active templates and make using and editing them a bit easier. With all those Country data templates formatted exactly the same way it's easy for me to put a bot if they need some editing, if the core template is in need of improvements. And if just the flag and flagicon (maybe others in the future) need fixing, I just need to edit them, instead of hundreds of templates. Instead of the current {{[[Template:Flag/ALG|Flag/ALG]]}} and {{[[Template:Flag/ALGn|Flag/ALGn]]}} with these you can use {{[[Template:Flagicon|Flagicon|Algeria]]}} or {{[[Template:Flag|Flag|ALG]]}}. I have lots of ideas how to improve this wiki, this is just one I thought I could start doing by myself. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 19:55, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

== Policies ==
== Suggestion: Translation ==

Hi, I've just been working a bit on the policies and guidelines as I felt this was left on its for a too long time. My goal is to get this settled as very soon as possible. To make a start I've rewritten [[Hattrick:Notability]] and adapted it to what is anyway done here since a couple of years. I think it's finished so far (except the sub-articles), but since you've got much more experience here than I do, I think you should have look at it. I've also worked on [[Hattrick:Consensus]]. Since I think the latter has to have a higher priority and is the foundation of any decision made here, I think we should first get the second one established as a policy/guideline (in the current or another form). Could you also have a look at that one? Next step would be to get the finished [[Hattrick:Consensus]] voted. --[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 21:33, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Not knowing where to place this one, I'll do it on a discussion page - and of all users listed as admin I just picked you. Bad luck :p Well... what I'm just after stumbling upon, is this: [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:GoogleTranslate Google Translate extension] for MediaWiki.
:We'll vote for the Consensus for the next two weeks. I added a notification to the main page about this. If the vote passes then we look at establishing Notability as a defined policy. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 10:34, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
::Shouldn't the voting be closed by now? :) --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 16:50, December 3, 2008 (UTC)

== Adding Catalan language in main page ==
For instance (MediaWiki experienced know that: internationalization is a long process) and for user pages such as their clubs this would be a neat addon. Counterpart is the negative prestige Google has even among IT professionals (many of them still only are too thick to prevent being data-mined by just ''anyone'').

I've talked to Mod-Karlthegreat and he told me you can put [[Ca/|Català (Catalan]] in Wiki languages. Is it possible? --[[User:Lleida|Lleida]] 21:45, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm not affiliated with Google, and seriously: I prefer proper translation to some bot. But well... in the meantime... :) • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 14:03, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
:That same guy had too much free time on his hands and played around with the Main Page and built this: [[Hattrick:Sandbox/Main Page]]. Can you have a look at it? Is it possible to take it and thus giving normal contributors the possibility to edit the subpages without your need to interfere for each tiny change? (I think it's also a better way to lock certain parts only in case we suffer from attacks or vandalism)--[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 22:19, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
::I changed the main page to use templates. I will protect some of the templates and leave others, e.g. the language versions, open to all editors. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 08:57, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

== Spam filter problem ==
:Google Translate at best creates confusion, at worst outright misunderstanding. So in short: If it's up to me Google Translate won't be used in here. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 18:49, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I've just got this message when I wanted to save an article:
== Loops? ==

''Spam protection filter''
Spontaneously I couldn't find something over here, be it mediawiki, help or templates...

''The page you wanted to save was blocked by the spam filter. This is probably caused by a link to an external site.''
Is this MediaWiki installation able to handle loops? Something like [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:LoopFunctions LoopFunctions]? Loops would be deadly necessary for abstract templates being able to handle an arbitrary number of input variables; such as squad templates, match templates (goals, cards; all that differs). Additionally I found no template that flexible...

''The following text is what triggered our spam filter: cialize''
Sorry for bothering you on your discussion site, but I also miss portals here :) Or I've been just too thick to find them until now. • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 13:03, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

''Return to Main Page.''
:I haven't looked into the loop templates. If you can give me examples that have been done using those, I could look into them. As for portals: feel free to make them yourself, if you feel like you're up for the task. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 18:26, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
::If "make them for myself" means just create them, I guess it's okay with me whenever I find the time. As for loops: take a look at [[:User:Lirion/Sandbox/Squad]]. This is 32 times a bunch of code and excludes people who want more than 32 players, where one time would be enough adding two or three lines and would make this FLEXIBLE. Plus: changing code there is a heckload of fumbly work. In the long run this will save mentionable database space; meanwhile it will save us editors a LOT OF WORK. Take a look at the extension I linked before, it integrates fine (I already did this with MediaWiki 1.15). This will at least introduce for-loops to MediaWiki. If this now isn't enough said, ask a programmer; if it is enough, you are one yourself ;) • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 23:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
::PS: If I got you wrong now and there ARE loops already integrated, then ignore the above and please tell me where to find them :) • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 23:19, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
::P.P.S. [[Special:Version]] only lists ParserFunctions, and this [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:ParserFunctions does ''not'' include loops]
:::Instead of using looping templates you can always use the model Header template:Line template:End template, like the [[:Category:Infobox templates]]. But I'll look into those loops, when I get the time. And yeah, you can just create the portals if you feel like it. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 23:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
::::HeaderTemplate:LineTemplate:EndTemplate don't save work as I described above... in the ideal case of only one line per player the squad of a team with 32 players results in 32 lines; with a loop this will be ''3 lines(!!!)''. Your example needs still to be called 32 times, a loop example will call ''itself'' 32 times with no extra code, none, nay. If you ever come to programming, you will stumble upon loops - they just are an essential. Just for info :) Thanks for looking that up. Hopefully we'll soon see the ext =) • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 09:42, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
:::::P.S.: Plus: A template like you described will have, let's say, 50 if expressions which have to be worked every time someone calls it up. (Do we have a 40th player? Do we have a 41st player? Do we do we do we...) A team with 16 players ''still'' will need 50 calls! A loop will only need 16 calls, and another team with 27 players takes its 27 calls. Period. I can't stress too much how much work you save for the servers (load balancing) and for the users, sorry. • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 12:29, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
::::::How much more efficiently this could be done: [[FC_Kakskerta#Current_Players]] ? Ok, now I use 4 different template, calling one of those once for each player, and a start, mid and end template. But I can't see the advantage. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 16:09, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
:::::::At the moment, this seems to be a valid argument concerning effectiveness :) However, if you like centralization, then loops get interesting... here's my effort: [[User:Lirion/Sandbox/Squad]]. I'm the person who puts the (mechanical) brain before the data and not vice versa. Thence my call for loops. I guess, in this case you are right :) I don't even know which variant is faster with MediaWiki - yours or mine with loops. Would have to be tested :) • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 18:52, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
::::::::Okay. I guess what finally made me do the centralization thing, was the thought of sortable tables. I never tried to split up a table and somehow seemed to have thought that you can't sort tables put together by other tables (which would be right, but not if you do it with ''parts'').<br/>So big, big sorry for making such a fuss about something which will, definitely, be a nice feature but isn't ''that'' deadly necessary. • <small><strong>[[User:Lirion|<span style="color: #084;">&nbsp;Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)&nbsp;</span>]]</strong>[[User Talk:Lirion| wtf?]]</small> • 14:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
:::::::::No problem. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 18:53, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

("cialize" with an "s" instead of the "z")
== New templates ==

It seems this spam filter (that I've never encountered...) doesn't like "specialized" in its very British form, with an "s". Do you have any button to solve that problem or do I have to rant in Sweden? --[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 19:25, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you Jhattara, I will work soon for a new template for leagues. It's very hard to update League Series and sometimes boring. If you have an idea, please tell me.

==Player Project==
By the way, I've been breaking my mind trying to put the age of the player, I have this [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:For_year_month_day&action=edit source] but I don't know how the change the year in order to have 112 days per year. Do you have any idea? --[[User:Lleida|Lleida]] 19:32, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Any comments or feedback would be appreciated. :) [[Hattrick:HattrickWikiProject_Players]] --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 14:38, January 28, 2009 (UTC)

:: Thank you very much! It's working in [[Template:Infobox Player]] --[[User:Lleida|Lleida]] 12:56, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi! Can you change MediaWiki:Sidebar and MainPageTheMatch to reflect change of [[Match_Report]] into [[Match_report]], and also delete Match_Report and Interwiki/Match_Report when it is done? Also, Mod-KarlTheGreat wanted me to remind you of this : Hattrick_talk:HattrickWikiProject_Policies_and_guidelines#New_rules. Cheers!  --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 18:09, February 2, 2009 (UTC)
: Hi! Can you change [[MediaWiki:Sidebar]] again, this time so it links to [[Formation]] rather than [[Formations]]? Cheers! --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 14:46, March 2, 2009 (UTC)
:: Done. I left the text at Formations though. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 06:56, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Uhm.. I created [[:Category:Trophy]] actually to take them all there, since I think using singular is possible, no?--[[User:Mod-Karlthegreat|Mod-Karlthegreat]] 12:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
I urge all ''active'' administrators to immdiately take countermeasures; such as a captcha for the registration process. That is spread all over Wikipedia, so there's at least one mediawiki extension known to work fine and easy to implement.
:I think that [[:Category:Trophies]] is better named, when looking at all the other categories in HT-wiki and e.g. Wikipedia. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 09:13, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm trying to see if there is an interest in reviving the old Hattrick Wiki Federation (81554) on HT. Do you think it would be possible to add something about it somewhere on the front page for a few days and see if we can attract some potential members? --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 16:46, March 5, 2009 (UTC)
: Of course it would be possible, but unfortunately the five federation limit plays against this. I for example have all my federation slots full. But if you want to write a notice do so in the [[Template:MainPageCurrentNews]]. --[[User:Jhattara|Jhattara]] 07:30, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
:: Yes, I realize this. I just want to reach out to as many as possible before the time limit is exeeded, to see if there is interest in such a federation. Thanks for the link. --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 09:30, March 6, 2009 (UTC)
::: We actually managed to get 10 members. Hopefully it will last too. :) --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 07:41, March 31, 2009 (UTC)

The user Para Para make a image link on all the Trophy templates. I did a backup and asked him about that. I saw that you worked about Trophy templates so I reported that to you. Bye.
Hey! For a few days now there have been problems with a lot of administrative pages on the wiki, e.g. Special Pages, Recent Changes, Move Page and so on are not accessible from time to time. Do you know how to resolve this? I've sent a message to Tjecken, but I guess HT-Gods doesn't have to read HT-Mail. ;)  --[[User:EchoMan|EchoMan]] 07:34, May 7, 2009 (UTC)

Even though the link does not show, if you log in through that link, the thread will be showed. Is it good enough to restore that link? --Mod-Geek 15:42, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

change of pagina title

Hey,

I changed my pagina Title again, because my team name is commonly known as Red Star Brussels. In Belgium, team prefixes are often based on the origins of the team, but are not always referred to in common talk or writing. I prefer to keep the standard name thus. Also, i wouldn't want to go change all my other articles that are connected to it again...

I moved the page again (this time correctly) because that is the team's full name. Pages that link to Red Star Brussels still lead to the correct article, so no need to change them. --Jhattara 21:48, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Big red button?

Your bot page mentions a "big red button", but such a button is not in evidence. --Mr_Wednesday 17:59, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Good catch. I removed that sentence from the template. --Jhattara 07:38, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Country data templates

Just curious what you're up to with all of these new templates? I assume it's part of a bigger plan. --Mr_Wednesday 19:11, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Trying to reduce the number of active templates and make using and editing them a bit easier. With all those Country data templates formatted exactly the same way it's easy for me to put a bot if they need some editing, if the core template is in need of improvements. And if just the flag and flagicon (maybe others in the future) need fixing, I just need to edit them, instead of hundreds of templates. Instead of the current {{Flag/ALG}} and {{Flag/ALGn}} with these you can use {{Flagicon|Algeria}} or {{Flag|ALG}}. I have lots of ideas how to improve this wiki, this is just one I thought I could start doing by myself. --Jhattara 19:55, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Regions in Turkey

That might be a good idea yea :). All the links are in the Template. ZF-Nightwish 17:55, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Not that I know, I'm checking the countries one by one now. If they added 50 regions somewhere else I let you know. ZF-Nightwish 18:08, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Club template

Template:Club A user changed and redicected this. Now it doesn't work properly. Can you revert the edits to the old version? Thanks Hellas220 07:47, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Can you tell me the pages where it doesn't work properly. --Jhattara 08:54, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Ferentillese

Hi, I created the page about my team. Can I do it or it's a problem? --Ichabod-Crane 10:05, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Sure. I'll do some modifications there for administration reasons, unless another admin gets there before myself. --Jhattara 13:55, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thank you very much --Ichabod-Crane 10:40, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Suggestion: Translation

Not knowing where to place this one, I'll do it on a discussion page - and of all users listed as admin I just picked you. Bad luck :p Well... what I'm just after stumbling upon, is this: Google Translate extension for MediaWiki.

For instance (MediaWiki experienced know that: internationalization is a long process) and for user pages such as their clubs this would be a neat addon. Counterpart is the negative prestige Google has even among IT professionals (many of them still only are too thick to prevent being data-mined by just anyone).

I'm not affiliated with Google, and seriously: I prefer proper translation to some bot. But well... in the meantime... :) •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 14:03, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Google Translate at best creates confusion, at worst outright misunderstanding. So in short: If it's up to me Google Translate won't be used in here. --Jhattara 18:49, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Loops?

Spontaneously I couldn't find something over here, be it mediawiki, help or templates...

Is this MediaWiki installation able to handle loops? Something like LoopFunctions? Loops would be deadly necessary for abstract templates being able to handle an arbitrary number of input variables; such as squad templates, match templates (goals, cards; all that differs). Additionally I found no template that flexible...

Sorry for bothering you on your discussion site, but I also miss portals here :) Or I've been just too thick to find them until now. •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 13:03, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

I haven't looked into the loop templates. If you can give me examples that have been done using those, I could look into them. As for portals: feel free to make them yourself, if you feel like you're up for the task. --Jhattara 18:26, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
If "make them for myself" means just create them, I guess it's okay with me whenever I find the time. As for loops: take a look at User:Lirion/Sandbox/Squad. If this now isn't enough said, ask a programmer; if it is enough, you are one yourself ;) •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 23:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
PS: If I got you wrong now and there ARE loops already integrated, then ignore the above and please tell me where to find them :) •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 23:19, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
P.P.S. Special:Version only lists ParserFunctions, and this does not include loops
Instead of using looping templates you can always use the model Header template:Line template:End template, like the Category:Infobox templates. But I'll look into those loops, when I get the time. And yeah, you can just create the portals if you feel like it. --Jhattara 23:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
HeaderTemplate:LineTemplate:EndTemplate don't save work as I described above... in the ideal case of only one line per player the squad of a team with 32 players results in 32 lines; with a loop this will be 3 lines(!!!). Your example needs still to be called 32 times, a loop example will call itself 32 times with no extra code, none, nay. If you ever come to programming, you will stumble upon loops - they just are an essential. Just for info :) Thanks for looking that up. Hopefully we'll soon see the ext =) •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 09:42, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
P.S.: Plus: A template like you described will have, let's say, 50 if expressions which have to be worked every time someone calls it up. (Do we have a 40th player? Do we have a 41st player? Do we do we do we...) A team with 16 players still will need 50 calls! A loop will only need 16 calls, and another team with 27 players takes its 27 calls. Period. I can't stress too much how much work you save for the servers (load balancing) and for the users, sorry. •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 12:29, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
How much more efficiently this could be done: FC_Kakskerta#Current_Players ? Ok, now I use 4 different template, calling one of those once for each player, and a start, mid and end template. But I can't see the advantage. --Jhattara 16:09, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
At the moment, this seems to be a valid argument concerning effectiveness :) However, if you like centralization, then loops get interesting... here's my effort: User:Lirion/Sandbox/Squad. I'm the person who puts the (mechanical) brain before the data and not vice versa. Thence my call for loops. I guess, in this case you are right :) I don't even know which variant is faster with MediaWiki - yours or mine with loops. Would have to be tested :) •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 18:52, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I guess what finally made me do the centralization thing, was the thought of sortable tables. I never tried to split up a table and somehow seemed to have thought that you can't sort tables put together by other tables (which would be right, but not if you do it with parts).
So big, big sorry for making such a fuss about something which will, definitely, be a nice feature but isn't that deadly necessary. •  Lirion (Λιριων, Лирион, ليريون)  wtf? • 14:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
No problem. --Jhattara 18:53, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

New templates

Thank you Jhattara, I will work soon for a new template for leagues. It's very hard to update League Series and sometimes boring. If you have an idea, please tell me.

By the way, I've been breaking my mind trying to put the age of the player, I have this source but I don't know how the change the year in order to have 112 days per year. Do you have any idea? --Lleida 19:32, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Age calculator: I will wait for one day to check if it works and then I will add it in new templates. Done (see in Template:Es/Contar días)
Thank you very much! It's working in Template:Infobox Player --Lleida 12:56, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
