The Match Kit Designer (MKD) is a tool for Hattrick supporters that allows managers to design unique match kit for their team.

In the 2008 redesign the tool has been significantly improved to allow for multiple design choices and a vast variety of patterns that can be used.

The designer can be reached from the My Club page. You can also import external clips and images and search for a kit using the "Match kit search" button (in 4 different categories: Replica kit, Football, but my design, Fantasy design and "other"). Some private match kits are protected by their owners, they require a password.

History

A first version of the MKD tool, a simple pixel art version, is dated September 2001 (season 14) and allowed to make home and away kits using a basic color set. It remained the standard for years.

The next version of the Kit Designer was designed by HT-Oxidus. Back when he was still Oxidus only, he had the gimmick of putting his MKD on a website by himself. The extreme popularity of the tool eventually led to it being added to the core of the game itself.
