==History==


FSV Gelb-Rot Mecheln started in IX.12 in season 15. Although they came in only fourth that season, they promoted to 8th division because of the removal of botteams. The team instantly won the league in VIII.911 the next season, resulting in a promotion to VII.721. There they came in second, by which they promoted for the 3th time in a row. Because of the fast pace of promotions, the team didn't have a chance in 6th division, so they instantly relegated back to 7th division. In VII.622 manager Rooster86 decided to let the team grow more gradually. So they took it easy in season 19, coming in on fourth place. Next season the moment had come to aim for the championship, in which the team succeeded. The second title in the teams history was a fact! And so they promoted back to 6th division, only this time determined to stay up. They accomplished preservation the coming two seasons with a 6th and 5th place (and winning both qualifiers). In season 23 they managed to win the league (against all odds). However the qualifier for promotion was lost. So in season 24 the title and auto-promotion was the aim. The team managed to fill in expectations, and so they promoted to 5th division for the first time in the teams history. There the aim was to avoid relegation, which went well in the first two seasons (places 6 and 5 and winning both qualifiers). The teams national cuprun of season 26 was another milestone in the teams history, by reaching round 7. In season 27 the team surprised everybody by winning league V.100. The 5th title in the clubhistory! However the qualifier for promotion was lost. The following season FSV confirmed last seasons achievement by coming in second.
