Arabian Peninsular Cup
The Arabian Peninsular Cup isn't just any competition that teams compete to win, it creates bonds of friendship between Arabian Peninsular countries, and besides all that, the locals consider a mini "World Cup" of how important it is to the hearts of the Arabian Peninsular people.
Arabian Peninsular Cup is a friendly tournament for the eight Arabian Peninsular national teams in Hattrick. Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Al Kuwayt, Al Iraq, Al Yaman, Bahrain, and Dawlat Qatar are the eight countries that can play in this cup.
The Hattrick Arabian Peninsular Cup is organized by Mod-Assim, Suhaib, and thetycoon.
The Arabian Peninsular Cup will be played every two seasons on the first 5 weeks of the second season after the coaches gets elected. In other words, matches will be played right after the World Cup Qualifications.
History
Draw
The draw depends on the ranking points of the teams in the season where the teams played the World Cup Qualification (i.e. first season after election). The teams will be put into 4 pots where the host and the cup holder are going to be in Pot 1, and if the cup holder was the host, then the highest rank team (or the second highest rank team if it was the host) will be put into Pot 1. After that, according to the ranking points, all the teams will be put in Pot 2, Pot 3, and Pot 4 respectively.
From Pot A, the host will play in Group A, and the second team from Pot A will go to Group B. As for Pot 2, Pot 3, and Pot 4, a draw will take place to see which one from each pot will go to Group A and B. Teams from the same pot cannot play against each other in the group stage.
Matches
When all eight teams accept the invitation to play in the Arabian Peninsular Cup, then eight teams will be divided into two groups with four teams in each group. Each team will play with each other once and the top two teams of each group qualify to the semi-final.
The first semi-final match will be between the winner of Group A against the runner-up of Group B, and the second semi-final will be between the winner of Group B against the runner-up of Group A. While the final will be between the winner of the first semi-final against the winner of the second semi-final.
The group stage will take place in the first three weeks of the season, while the semi-final will be played in the 4th week, and the final in the 5th week of the season that the Arabian Peninsular Cup will be played in.
