The OVl Cup (Oost-Vlaanderen Cup) is a friendly cup in Oost-Vlaanderen.

Participants and Organisation

Participants

Participating teams must come from the Oost-Vlaanderen Region in Belgium to be eligible for qualification. Teams can candidate for the cup on the Oost-Vlaanderen Forum on Hattrick. The OVL cup currently has 32 teams, who play in a 5-round cup scheme. When enough teams will subscribe, the OVL-cup will start with 64 teams. Teams that made it trough to the final 16 in the Cup, have priority for the subscriptions of the next season.

Organisation

The 11th edition is currently organised by Zionnoah. The first 6 editions of the cup were organised by HoebekeD, after which Zionnoah took over.

On this moment, the OVL-cup is in the preliminary fase, in which teams can subscribe themselves. A cup program will be elaborated after that.

History

The cup was created during Global Season 28, and is currently in its 11th Edition.

Cup Format

The first 6 seasons of the OVl cup where played ad random, but between seasons 7 and 10, the OVl Cup worked with ranking: stronger teams automatically started against weaker teams. Starting from season 11, the seeding of the teams is completely at random again.
