Real Abrazos vs Dinamo Tulcea was a league match played on 7 May 2014 at Real Abrazos Arena, København, Denmark.
Match report
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2100 that came out to Real Abrazos Arena. Cédric Merdy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aki-Pekka Noromies and Walter Way.
Abrazos decided to use a 5–2–3 set up. The following players took the field: Steinnes - Bjelke, Suhr, Czeremcha, Bjerg, Hoel - Rodquist, Dalak - Kjeldgaard, Madsen, Bąkiewicz.
Dinamo had chosen a strategic 5–3–2 formation. Starters: Trupoiu - Lisiecki, Nadeau, Bonnefoy, Vlădoiu, Szatvári - Duminică, Ilina, Creţeanu - Topârceanu, Fuduli.
First half
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Abrazos. Benjamin Madsen really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by Haakon Suhr after a corner. Palle Bjelke's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. 0 - 1 was the score with 22 minutes played, after Vlad-Andrei Topârceanu cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Dinamo. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dinamo, with 60 percent of the ball.
Second half
Abrazos almost scored after a counterattack 63 minutes into the match, but Mieczysław Bąkiewicz took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. With 75 minutes played, the Abrazos coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Abd Rabbo Senoussi came on, Piotr Czeremcha had to leave the fray. Dinamo's Cédric Bonnefoy got himself booked for a foul. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Abrazos's Mieczysław Bąkiewicz was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes. Jess Vinther was given a chance to change things around. Sebastian Steinnes was the new captain of Abrazos - handed the armband by the departing player. A foul 80 minutes into the game resulted in a free kick for Abrazos. Glenn Bjerg took advantage as he curled the equalising goal into the top corner, just out of the reach of the keeper. 1 - 1. Jess Vinther of Abrazos received a yellow card after 82 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Dinamo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
Extra time
With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Slack defending gave Abrazos a chance to take the lead with 92 minutes played, but Palle Bjelke's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The referee showed Abrazos's Peer Kjeldgaard the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 101 minutes allowed Vlad-Andrei Topârceanu to score for Dinamo. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. 102 minutes in, Dinamo's Dan Vlădoiu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Abrazos, as Sebastian Steinnes left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. Frans Hörblom took his place on the field. Frans Hörblom was handed the Abrazos captain's armband. After 107 minutes of play, Wiktor Dalak equalised for Abrazos after an elegant attack from the right. Still tied after extra time, the crowd was buzzing as the teams prepared for a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.
Penalty shootout
Oooh - how unlucky! Abrazos's Audun Hoel attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of Cristian Trupoiu. The score stays 2 - 2. Dinamo's Marc Nadeau looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 2 - 2. A confident Haakon Suhr of Abrazos put the ball right where he wanted, but Cristian Trupoiu was right there for the save. No goal. Dinamo's Csaba Szatvári kept his cool as he faced down Frans Hörblom. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 2 - 3. Abrazos's Peer Kjeldgaard looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper. Dinamo's Konrad Lisiecki showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 2 - 4. Boy, does Palle Bjelke of Abrazos know how to treat a football or what?! He's curled that shot past the keeper and into the top corner of the goal - a great penalty! 3 - 4. Dinamo's Andrei Fuduli was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 3 - 5!
The most dominating Abrazos player was without a doubt Abd Rabbo Senoussi. Jess Vinther on the other hand, had a terrible day. Dinamo's best player was Dragoş Ilina. Dan Vlădoiu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 5.
