Home of the Grand Canyon, Arizona is known for hot days and beautiful sunsets. But snow and dust storms also abound in America's 48th state.
Phoenix is the Capital and the largest city in Arizona, followed by Tucson and Flagstaff. In cities such as Gila Bend and Yuma it's not unusual to get summer temperatures in excess of 120 degrees F. In Flagstaff, below freezing temperatures and plentiful snow make for skiing at the Snowbowl in the nearby Four Peaks.
Formed by the mighty Colorado River, the Grand Canyon spreads across much of the Northern part of the state. Considered one of the seven wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon is one of America's most popular tourist destinations.
