New Tips Moved

We've moved Newbie Tips to a new category page. For issues the redirect tag, see below.

redirect problem and solution

For some reason if you redirect from this page to the category:Newbie Tips page, the new page doesn't show the artiles under the category "Newbie Tips." The solution we've come up with, for now, is to just provide a direct link to the category page, in which case everything works fine. NOTE: There is apparently no current solution to this problem except to provide a direct link to the category page. See this article [1]

Please note the redirect tag DOES NOT work when redirecting to categories. There is a known wiki bug in this case. See link above for more information.

These "Ten principles" should probably be a category under "Newbie Tips." That way other types of newbie tips can also be added to this page.

That solution is probably better than what I see on the page now. Will revert. (think most will agree) --GM-Lau 16:01, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
