-The KAISERJÄGER were Austrian infantry units in the time of the Austria empire and Austria Hungary. The soldiers recruited themselves mainly from the areas Tirol, South Tyrol and Vorarlberg. The units existed from 1816 to the end of the First World War. They were particularly characterised during the First World War by their high combat capability at the east and southwest front. Admits is the name until today by „the KAISERJÄGER march “.
