Fixtures
A fixtures is another way to call the calendar of 14 matches (one per week) for a particular season. 8 teams in each series play each other twice in a fixture of 14 rounds (or weeks).
You can check the fixtures for any series using the "Fixtures" button on the right side of the Series page under the 'More Info' heading. On the fixtures page, you can view the series' match calendar from previous seasons as well.
Series Schedule
The fixtures for a series are generated at the beginning of the season, exactly a week before the first match, at the end of the off-season. Any team's schedule is based on its position at the very beginning of the season, so that all matches are scheduled according to a set formula.
The format is a double round-robin tournament in which the first and last weeks are the same with inverted venues. The switch happens between week 7 and 8: the team hosting in week 7 is hosted by the opponent in week 8 and so on..
Calendars for all categories do not depend on division and will be generated like this:

- How to read the scheme
- In week 1, for example, team placed first the season before (which could be a team demoted for upper division as well) plays against team placed second; team placed third against team placed fourth; etc.
- In week 1, the first-placed team plays at home (square colored green) and second-placed team is inevitably away; the pattern reverses after week 7 is played, so the same match is played in week 14, but this time it is the second-placed team to host the first-placed one (white square).
- If you are a new promoted team, for example the eighth-placed one, your seasonal fixtures will be: week 1 versus 7th (away), w2 vs 5th (home), w3 vs 1st (away), w4 vs 4th (home), w5 vs 3rd (away), w6 vs 2nd (home), w7 vs 6th (away), w8 vs 6th (home), w9 vs 2nd (away), w10 vs 3rd (home), w11 vs 4th (away), w12 vs 1st (home), w13 vs 5th (away), w14 vs 7th (home).

| You may have noticed already, but just in case you haven’t; we have improved the order that teams face each other and adopted the "jimrtex schedule" - named after the user who invented it.
The jimrtex schedule has a better balance of home and away games, and also removes the main drawback of the old schedule where 5 teams followed another team for 4 matches, and 2 teams played behind another team for 7 matches. Whenever there was a bot in the series, this could cause the rather unfair situation where one team always faced teams just after they met the bot team. Thanks jimrtex! | |
