History
Season 1 (30/08-1997)
- Startdate: Sunday before the first league-round
- Hattrick starts on august 30th 1997
- 16 teams, 2 test-leagues play 7 matches.
Season 2 (23/11-1997)
- HT2!
- Hattrick reopens after a long breakdown due to reprogramming parts of the Hattrick system, and moving of code to new servers at "passagen". HT2 is far more dynamic than its previous verision HT1.
- Hattrick now has 680 teams, Allsvenskan, 1., 2. and 3. division is has been created
- The worlds first ever Hattrick National-match is played - Denmark beats Sweden 2 - 1, though the danish team was merely clones of the swedish players.
- New version of the transfer-market. Earlier, the selling manager should accept the bid from the buyer, but it was changed to the form we know today.
Season 3 (05/04-1998)
- HT3!
- Servers are down during the season break, and Hattrick is offline for a couple of weeks
- Hattrick expands to division IV - 128 series. There is 1704 teams now
- Do note, that the Swedish IV is the equivalent of Denmarks V and by that time only has half the number of teams Denmark has.
- Cup and friendlies are now possible
Season 4 (26/07-1998)
- Specialized training. To the original 'general', 'stamina' and 'set pieces' the new 'scoring', 'playmaking', 'passing', 'winger', 'defence' and 'goaltending' are added.
- Thanks to specialized training, the player 'Per Emilsson (57216) breaks the rating-system (stars). As a result hereof, he receives the title 'saint', wich HT-Björn added in case the unthinkable happened<bt>
- The week after, exclamationmarks are added after the max-rating (5 stars) so the scale now looks like this: 0, H, HH, HHH, *, **, ***, ****, *****, *****!, *****!!, *****!!! etc.

- HT4!
- For the first time, it's possible to set individual tactics for each player. Previously, you could only play 4-4-2 normal, but set your team to play either 'Defensive', 'Cautious' or 'Offensive'
Season 8 (24/10-1999)
- Daniel Hellström - Sunne BK becomes the first (and so far only) winner of 'The Double' in Sweden
- Extralives AB is founded early 2000, and immediately bacame pregnant with 'HT5' which was born 9 months later (Quote, HT-Björn)
Season 9 (13/02-2000)
- The conference is moved from 'Passagen' to 'Delphi'
- First stand-alone statistical page using data from Hattrick is born (HTSCB)
Season 10 (04/06-2000)
- Hattrick's 'classical' design receives it's final oils
