Basilio Fernández (472212089) was a Chilean goalkeeper who played for FC Bizancio for two seasons.
He arrived in the 77 season to improve the goalkeeping position after many seasons playing with low-level goalkeepers, with the clear objective of being a guarantee upon promotion to the V. Division. He was part of the team during the relegation in the 78 season and the subsequent promotion in the 79 season, becoming a "yo-yo" goalkeeper. He is remembered for his attitude, leadership between the posts, and remarkable saves, especially in the 79 season, when he became the goalkeeper with the fewest goals conceded in the competition.
He was sold to French football at the end of the season for US$540,000.
