Dinamo tactics involved an interesting 5–3–2 combination. The following players took the field: Paskum - Lisiecki, Cobby, Beichler, Bolsi, Bonnefoy - Bercea, Niokane, Tudurean - Dănilă, Negoiţă.
A 3–4–3 alignment was the formation of choice for Baggins. They fielded: Burlet - Watchhorn, Rae, Benissimo - Kovacs, Pelak, Koskela, Daire - Murenu, Özkam, Vignal.
First half
An accurate cross from Ion-Aurel Bercea of Dinamo was met with a wonderful glancing header from Ciprian Tudurean, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 1–0. Florindo Murenu finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1–1 15 minutes into the match. Marko Pelak had a good opportunity to give Baggins the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Dinamo took the lead 18 minutes in, as Bogdan Dănilă broke through on the left and put the 2–1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Guschti Beichler from Dinamo a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 21 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The crowd was silenced 21 minutes into the match as the visiting team's Santtu Koskela came in from the left, levelling the score to 2–2. 2–2 was the halftime score. Baggins had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
Second half
55 minutes into the game, François Vignal was a hair's breadth away from giving Baggins the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by Barna Paskum saved the home team that time. Cristian Negoiţă finished off the counterattack of Dinamo from the left rather easily, making the score 3–2. Baggins's Santtu Koskela got himself booked for a foul. After 59 minutes, Baggins sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached François Vignal, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot – 3–3. The home keeper expected a move to the right, but Rasmer Rae surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 60 minutes into the match. 3–4 for Baggins. After 64 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Florindo Murenu a chance to increase the lead for Baggins, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 3–5. Possession in this half belonged to Baggins, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
Dinamo's best player was Ciprian Tudurean. Cristian Negoiţă on the other hand, had a terrible day. Florindo Murenu performed admirably for Baggins. However, Joe Watchhorn made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3–5.
