Mahaux graduated from the youth academy of Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track, but was immediately sold to Darrowby FC in Italy without ever playing a match. Mahaux remained quite a mediocre footballer, before learning the joy of football in Poland with Karaczany, opting him to move to the land of football, Brazil. In Brazil, he grew out to a skilled inner midfielder, allowing him to return to Belgium to earn a decent wage at PARADISE1.
