Tornes was scouted by Olav Hansen as a 15 year old teenager late in Season 41, and was promoted from Berg IL United youth team in week 4 of season 43 at the age of 17.
He didn't got a chance to prove himself in his homeland, as he was immediately sold. In first 3 seasons of his career, Tornes was training to be a good Winger. During this time he played in Bosnia and Herzegovina, France and Italy. At the age of 21 years and 8 days he was sold to Raiders on the storm, who were then rebuilding team by training Passing.
Career at Raiders on the storm
At Raiders, Tornes was one of the most important players on the roster. Although being a Head specialist, he was a very porfficient SP taker too. In his first spell at the club, Tornes played 81 games and scored 41 goals, more than a goal every second match, a big accomplishment for a wing player.
Tornes came to the club at the end of season 46, after Raiders fell to the last tier of the Croatian pyramid. With the team, he won VI.433 division title with all wins a season later, and played 4 seasons in V.138 before finaly winning the title in Season 51. He also played in the Cup that season, where Raiders reached 5th Round for the first time in the history (a feat matched in only in Season 66). He played as the first choice winger in the following two seasons, when Raiders finnished twice as 3rd in IV.12. He was sold to German side Hunsrücker SV at the end of Season 51, when Raiders decided to become Farmers on the storm, a farm team.
In Germany, Tornes was amongst best players in his team, playing in over 190 games and netting 33 times. In the end of Season 63, he was sold back to Raiders on the storm for a symbolic price of 1000 €.
Second Spell at Farmers
In his second spell, now in very late stage of his career, Tornes plays only in friendly games and tutors younger players at the team. He played only one competitive game, when he came as a substitute late in a Sapphire Cup 1st Round match.
