Talk:Transfers

From Hattrick

from ht6.2 [1]

Improved team psychology simulation.

When a team buys and sells players, IRL it affects the team spririt as players get worried about their own places in the squad, especially if a club buys a lot in a short time ("Aren't we good enough? Who the heck is this new bloke - I definitely don't like him!") and when players are sold it is also a disturbance in the team spririt.

This will be simulated by the new possibility that when a new player is bought, chances are that it will have a negative impact on team spirit. The less agreeable the player is the worse the chances and the worse the effects. When a player is sold, agreeability works in the opposite direction. If you sell a popular player, there is a risk that it lowers your team spirit. The impact on team spirit is not huge (and it only happens sometimes) - it will only be really significant if you buy and sell an absurd number of players in a short time.

not sure I agree with the numbers in the TS dop table at the bottom at all, as they don't really seem to accurate.

Do other people agree with these stats? (Rob)

I think, in general, these sort of tables of opinions on how the engine works, although useful, should be put in a seperate linked article, and not in the main wiki article.

TS-Drop statistics[edit]

They don't look too bad to me. The 0% is quite strange, because 0% chances is something that almost never happens in the hattrick world ! Maybe we should try to get better statistics (600 transfers are not enough).

With more transfers it would probably come closer to this:

Agreeability
Buying
Selling
Popular guy
0%
25%
Sympathetic guy
0%
20%
Pleasant guy
25%
15%
Controversial person
50%
0%
Nasty fellow
75%
0%

I don't think the 0% is strange cause the message you get when buying a player is something like "Your teamskill dropped cause the new player doesn't fit in your team". It's logical for me that a popular or sympathetic guy always fits in your team. When you sell a player you get a message that your players concern about there future but who is unhappy when a nasty fellow or controversial person leaves your team?

Also I don't agree with the following addition:

A note about the percentages mentioned above. There are indications that team spirit, like virtually everything else in Hattrick, has fractional steps, and the calm - content - satisfied etc. terms indicate the rounded value. If this is true, then the TS drop always takes place, but will cause visible changes only if the rounded value changed, e.g. from 7.2 to 6.9.

There's also one oddity concerning this TS drop: sometimes you get the message under The Club submenu but the visible team spirit indicator under the Training submenu doesn't change, and sometimes vice versa. This could be explained by some sort of rounding error when the game engine chooses to add the message if the above assumption about fractional nature of TS is true.

I think that a drop is always mentioned on "the club" page and that all other drops of TS has to do with the normal decrease or increase to calm

"I think that a drop is always mentioned on "the club" page and that all other drops of TS has to do with the normal decrease or increase to calm".

I agree with that.

"It's logical for me that a popular or sympathetic guy always fits in your team. When you sell a player you get a message that your players concern about there future but who is unhappy when a nasty fellow or controversial person leaves your team?"

Yes, I had not considered it that way, you might bu right.

Ok, I'll remove the following:

"I think that a drop is always mentioned on "the club" page and that all other drops of TS has to do with the normal decrease or increase to calm"

That doesn't explain team why TS sometimes drops after a transfer and between updates, but with no message in The Club.

I have added the Template:Based on research template to the TS drop section of the article. Please comment if you like or dislike the idea, I think it provides a clear way of separating fact from opinion. --duno7 13:20, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

This template is a very good idea ! It should be made compulsory for every aspects of the wiki that have never been confirmed by the HTs ! --cocobingo

It would be extremely useful if the additional value of these personality traits could be found. That is, how much more is a pleasant player to a nasty player? Is it an ad valorem or a fixed amount? I suspect ad valorem (percent of the value). Also, for completeness, is the effect on say a forward less than say a mid, as there will tend to be less forwards than mids, perhaps on average?

I just removed the bit about the transfer fee applying if not sold! Out of date rubbish! I wonder what else is! Haha!

Study with more transfers (over 1800)[edit]

At Federacion de Entrenadores de Condicion de Hattrick website there is a bigger study. Results are based on over 1800 transfers, and maybe it would be nearest to reality. Also shows distribution graphs and data tables. Percentages are similar but differents.

The URL is Estudio Carácter vs. Espíritu

This study was made by FEC, FEHE and CM federation members.
