Vakhtang Merchule is a Georgian football player.
After several years at his home team in Georgia, Merchule was forced to make the move abroad as his family did not approve of his gay relationship. Together with his boyfriend Shako Kazishvili, Merchule was offered a contract at Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track. Four seasons later, with him and his boyfriend now broken up but both very successful on the pitch. He decided to try his luck abroad and look for a Spanish lover instead, leaving his ex-boyfriend behind in Belgium.
