Virtus Gazoldo Football Club (1731304) is an Hattrick football club based in Mantova, Lombardy, Italy that was originally founded on 10th October 2008.


History[edit]

Formation[edit]

Founded in the October 2008 as Gazoldo FC, the team was born as amateur football club. Gazoldo FC starts to play season 37 in league XI.1470 and finished in first position. Only after this season the club begins to work on a project. Club name was abandoned and was changed in Virtus Gazoldo FC and the president made investments on the players, as the opening of a youthclub called Virtus Olimpia Youth Club. This investments were called Virtus project.

Unexpectedly, Virtus Gazoldo FC won the season 38 in league X.4030. Virtus Project allows to make a record season against every expectation. At the end of the 38th season the idol Paolo Bestagno announces his own withdrawal but only later, on demand of the president ChiccoMN and the coach Jaarsveld, he agrees to playing friendly matches.

The club won also season 39 in league X.704. Three promotions in three seasons and this was the confirmation of the Virtus project. At the end of season 39, the coach Feike Jaarsveld is dismissed and the team was trained by Walter Vuleta. In season 40 the target of the team was safety and succeed the objective ending in third position. In season 41 the team ending in second position and Jeske wins the topscorer trophy.

PalaOlimpia is the stadium of Virtus Gazoldo FC from the Season 37, when the club turned from Gazoldo Arena, the old city stadium.

History[edit]

  • PalaOlimpia was built at the end of season 37 with 12.000 seats.
  • The colours are exclusively blue-real and white.
  • After sixth extensions the new capacity is 48.000 seats.
  • Hosts the Coppa Bestagno tournament matches.
