Wattiez is one of the many successful players to come out of the youth academy of Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track. In contrary to many of his young colleagues, he was allowed to become a first team player in the main team, playing for the team as an inner midfielder for 6 seasons, appearing in 56 competitive matches and scoring 11 goals in the process. Thereafter he tried his luck with Pink Sexy Devils in Greece before moving back to "The Muppets" in Belgium, where he is now playing as a forward.
