Marmadukes FC is an Oceanian football club based in Marmaduke Lane, Queensland. The club is relatively new and entering its third complete season.

History

Liamist States

The club was founded as the Liamist States (the name being a local joke), an amatuer side formed out of people who lives in Marmaduke Lane. The club was extremely unsucessful and lost every league game in the tailend of Oceania's Season 13. After being demoted, the team was re-branded Marmadukes FC and the current, professional club was born. Only a handful of players from the original Liamist States squad still play and only two of which play for Marmadukes FC.

Liamist States was responsible for the club's first goal, scored against Tempests in the club's first game, an 8-1 drubbing. The club's first win also came under the Liamist States banner, a 2-1 victory in a friendly against the American club, Gaian Ascendancy.

Season 16

Hopes remain high within the club that Season 16 can see the squad at least their performance from the previous season. A poor start to the season saw confidence within the club decline and attendances fall. A record-setting crushing victory over minnows Deep Purple Tigers saw the season turn around for the Dukes who by the halfway mark were sitting in the predicted fourth place.
