Contribution

The contribution of a single Player to match ratings is determined by his skills and his position. In other words, we will have different contribution to ratings both placing a player in a new position or replacing a player with another with different skills.

The table below may seem complicated at first glance, but it is actually quite simple. Take for example the Goalkeeper's contributions in Central Defense:

• 0.165 for Goalkeeping (the goalkeeper's Goalkeeping is 12),
• 0.079 for Defense (the goalkeeper's Defense is 6).

Then we can calculate Player's contribution to central defense = 12 * 0.165 + 6 * 0.079 = 2.45

Adding the contribution of other players we will find the central defense rating.
