Players with the unpredictable speciality can feature in special events during a match.

Unpredictable defenders and inner midfielders can use their passing skill to send an unexpected long pass from which a forward or winger from your team can get a chance to score. With higher passing skill the chance on this increases. They can also send a wrong pass from which your opponent's wingers or forwards can get a chance to score. With high defending skill the chance on this decrease. Note that inner midfielders often have low defending skill, thus having a greater risk of sending a wrong pass.
