The Form Monkey is a mythical creature used by the Hattrick community to explain the changes in form players experience when the form updates each week. The form monkey is often referred to in a critical context, such as "The form monkey made me lose!" The literal equivalent of the form monkey is the server's formula that determines how a player's form changes. The form monkey has become quite an infamous figure over the years, especially in the USA conference, where posts blaming the form monkey for a losing season are common. Some have even gone as far as to blame the Form Monkey for bad Youth Pulls, a World Cup loss, or worse than expected Transfer revenue.
