← Season 85 Season 87 →

Season 86 was the fifth season of Nashville FC under manager dalepopp. Following its VI.18 championship and direct promotion in Season 85, Nashville returned to V.212 for its second spell in the series. The club finished fourth with six wins, three draws and five losses, scoring 39 goals while conceding 21 and earning 21 points. The fourth-place finish was Nashville's best result in V.212 to that point and marked the first time the club retained its place in the series after a full season.

Nashville also competed in two cup competitions during the season. The club reached Round 2 of both the US Open Cup and the Apollo Cup.

Season summary

Nashville FC opened its return to V.212 with a victory and, after an uneven start, settled into the division with a six-match unbeaten run during the middle portion of the season. The stretch included consecutive victories over Liverpool AC and helped establish Nashville in the upper half of the table.

A three-match losing streak late in the season interrupted that run, but Nashville finished strongly with consecutive victories. The season concluded with an 11–0 home win over Frank FC, the club's largest victory of the campaign. Nashville completed the regular season 6–3–5 with 39 goals scored and 21 conceded for a +18 goal difference, finishing fourth in V.212 with 21 points.

Yaakov Morrison led Nashville with seven league goals. Willie Watson scored five, while Guy Crutcher and Eric Franklin each scored four. Chaz Castillo started all 14 league matches in goal and recorded four clean sheets.

Nashville's US Open Cup campaign began with a 2–1 extra-time victory at North Phoenix FC before a 7–1 home loss to Filthy Bears FC in Round 2. The club then entered the Apollo Cup, defeating Davis Stars 3–2 before a 3–2 loss at Morning FC in Round 2 ended its cup campaign.

During Season 86, Nashville FC's home ground was renamed from Chris Jones Field to Chris Jones Park, mirroring the move of real-world Nashville SC into Geodis Park.

Player statistics

Statistics cover all 14 of Nashville FC's V.212 regular-season matches. Playing time includes stoppage time recorded in the individual Hattrick match reports. Cup appearances and statistics are excluded.

The attacking statistics use standard association football definitions rather than Hattrick's internal chance-distribution figures. Assists, shots, shots on target and hit-woodwork figures include only events that can be clearly established from the match reports and should be regarded as conservative minimums. Goals, appearances, starts, substitute appearances, minutes and disciplinary records are complete for the 14 league matches.

Players who appeared both as a goalkeeper and as an outfield player are listed in both tables, with appearances and minutes separated according to the role played in each match.

Key: App = appearances; St = starts; Sub = substitute appearances; Min = minutes; G = goals; A = assists; SH = shots; SOT = shots on target; WW = hit woodwork; PK = penalty goals; FK = direct free-kick goals; YC = yellow cards; RC = red cards.

Goalkeepers

Goalkeeper save totals and shots on target faced include only events for which the match commentary clearly establishes the result of the attempt. Those figures should therefore be regarded as conservative minimums. Save percentage is not shown. Goals against, goals-against average and clean sheets can be calculated completely from the match records.

Key: App = appearances; St = starts; Min = minutes; GA = goals against; GAA = goals against per 90 minutes; CS = clean sheets; SOTF = confirmed shots on target faced; SV = confirmed saves; PKSV = penalty saves.
