Season 87 was the sixth season of Nashville FC under manager dalepopp. Nashville finished third in V.212 with an 8-2-4 record and 26 points, its best finish in the division to that point. The club also reached Round 2 of both the US Open Cup and Apollo Cup.

Season summary

Nashville FC endured an uneven opening portion of the league campaign before producing its strongest sustained run of the season. Beginning in Week 7, Nashville went six matches unbeaten, winning five and drawing one while recording four clean sheets. The run lifted the club into the upper portion of the V.212 table and established its eventual third-place position.

A loss at CZ's Crew ended the unbeaten stretch, but Nashville responded with an 8-0 victory over Demon's Eye in the season finale. Nashville completed the regular season 8-2-4 with 52 goals scored and 16 conceded for a +36 goal difference, finishing third in V.212 with 26 points.

Larry Shows led Nashville with 13 league goals. Garrick Waite and Alex Hensley each scored six, while Phil Roof and Eric Franklin each scored five. Chaz Castillo started all 14 league matches in goal and recorded seven clean sheets.

Nashville's US Open Cup campaign began with a 2-1 victory at Kickers Afghaistan before a 4-0 home loss to Mighty Madridistas in Round 2. The club then entered the Apollo Cup, defeating 2% Milk 3-2 before a 2-1 loss to Cheese4 in Round 2 ended its cup campaign.
