Season 86 was the fifth season of Nashville FC under manager dalepopp. Nashville returned to V.212 following promotion and finished fourth.

Season summary

Nashville FC opened its return to V.212 with an uneven start before settling into the division with a six-match unbeaten run during the middle portion of the season. A three-match losing streak interrupted that run, but Nashville finished with consecutive victories, including an 11-0 win over Frank FC in the season finale.

Nashville completed the regular season 6-3-5 with 39 goals scored and 21 conceded for a +18 goal difference, finishing fourth in V.212 with 21 points. The result was Nashville's best V.212 finish to that point and the first time the club retained its place in the series after a full season.

Yaakov Morrison led Nashville with seven league goals. Willie Watson scored five, while Guy Crutcher and Eric Franklin each scored four. Chaz Castillo started all 14 league matches in goal and recorded four clean sheets.

Nashville reached Round 2 of both the US Open Cup and the Apollo Cup.

During Season 86, Nashville FC's home ground was renamed from Chris Jones Field to Chris Jones Park, mirroring the move of real-world Nashville SC into Geodis Park.
