Contender League
The Contender League is a international competition created by HTFA in 2025 to make a competition for the new countries created in the last two years. National teams that do not have a high enough ranking to qualify for the Continental Cups, including new national teams, will play in the Contender League.
The Contender League is parallel to the Continental Cups and is played in Swiss tournament format over 10 rounds.
The top 2 teams teams at the end of the Contender League will earn a place in the Wildcards round for the next World Cup. The rest of the teams go to Nations Cup directly.
An essential aspect of this tournament is that it gives new or low-ranked national teams a chance to build ranking points that are used for the seeding of the next continental cup.
