Bio
Héctor Buenavista was a technical wingback and winger who played for Jimmyhats from May 19, 2013 (1/52) until August 3, 2013 (12/52). Buenavista appeared in three competitive matches, scoring three goals.
Buenavista came up through the youth soccer leagues of northern California, excelling as a winger for road teams playing up and down the San Joaquin Valley. It was during a six-goal performance against a youth team from Visalia that Buenavista caught the eye of Damián Garza, who was scouting the western United States at the time. Garza immediately signed Buenavista to a development contract and Buenavista moved east to join Mini-Willies.
Hopes were high that Buenavista would make the transition to the senior squad, but injuries and an unfortunate relationship with a meth-addicted stripper named Brandy Cavalli derailed Buenavista's career and, after unsuccessful attempts to sell Buenavista's contract, he was let go by Jimmyhats on August 3, 2013.
Buenavista's first appearance in a Jimmyhats uniform was during a league match in Seattle, Washington against les ballons de fureur on June 10, 2013 (5/52). His best match was a few weeks later, on June 24, 2013 when Jimmyhats played Forza Pompino 01 in Mobile, Alabama. Buenavista scored two goals in four minutes in a 9-1 rout.
