Loyens is an exponent of the youth academy of Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track, from which he got promoted into the first team immediately upon turning 17 in season 90. Some assumed he was just promoted because his brother Maxence Loyens was already playing for the team, but soon his potential and unpredictable playing style was noted by others, prompting him to be transferred to Dave Mastersteam in the Netherlands, without ever featuring for his mother team.
