![]() |

In spite of Winagulebi winning 1st season of Paata Janashvili Cup, no one will ever forget the match that was played 3 weeks earlier. When Dato Tsenteradze scored on the 37th minute of match between HUGO2 and METE2 KID everybody was sure, that HUGO2 will take easy 3 points. But in almost 13 minutes the score was already 1-3 in favour of METE2 KID. Suprisingly players of HUGO2 showed their character and the first half ended 3-3. In the beginning of the second period METE2 KID achieved to score 2 more goals, so the score became 3-5. But HUGO2 did not surrender and in last few minutes scored 3 more goals. Season 2: Longest season with 8 participants
![]() |

Season 3: Winagulebi continues winning
![]() |
After second season NIKOPEBI and Nightheroes were eliminated from the cup and the third season was played among 6 teams.
This season was full of great moments and suprises from newbie teams. First time in Cup's history "Great Three" was changed. ribosoma took the third place and METE2 KID was only the fifth. This season was truly the worst for them. But only they defeated champhions Winagulebi. After 4 loses in past two seasons, rampant METE2 KID took a classy revenge and won the match with the score 6-3. As this was their only defeat, Winagulebi has won their third title in a row. HUGO2 was the second.
Participants of the third season of Paata Janashvili Cup were: Winagulebi, HUGO2, ribosoma, ADP, METE2 KID and martveebi.
Season 4: First crown for Iveria
![]() |
Champion of the 4th season became Iveria (was called METE2 KID in past 3 seasons). Winner's name was unknown till the end. Winagulebi and Iveria earned equal number of points, but Iveria had better balance. They started season with 2 draws, according to this everyone decided that this was another unsuccessfull season for them. But Iveria quickly rehabilitated and won most of matches.
4th season is thought to be one of the most dramatic and difficult in cup's history. 8 teams took part in. FC Kubdari and Kutaturebi were the newbies.
Season 5: Winagulebi has the title back
![]() |
This season was also strained and full of exciting games. As in most of Paata Janashvili Cup seasons the main confrontation was between Winagulebi and Iveria.
In final round Winagulebi had match against Kutaturebi and was ahead of Iveria with only one point. Correspondingly in case of loss or draw Winagulebi would loose title, because Iveria played at the same time with outsider: FC Kubdari. At 37th minute score was already 3-0 in favour of Winagulebi, but Kutaturebi managed to score 3 goals and at 60th minute score became 3-3. In spite of difficulties players of Winagulebi braced themselves and scored 3 unreciprocated goals. The game finally ended 6-3.
The 5th season was the first season of Paata Janashvili Cup before which the number of participants didn't change.
Seasons 6 to 8: Asteroidi Breakthrough
![]() |
The 6th season appeared to be winning for Asteroidi, who were crowned champions for the first time in their career. Asteroidi also won the next installment of Paata Janashvili Cup. Only to be succeeded by Winagulebi in season 8.
Seasons 9 to 20: Iveria Dominance
In the next 12 seasons Iveria managed to gain 11 titles and become most titled team among Paata Janashvili Cup members. The only thing Winagulebi could do, was to claim season 17 title.
Seasons 21 to 26: End of Old Era
In the following seasons Winagulebi tried to return their past glory and won 5 titles in a row. The 26th season, which went under full contol of Iveria, was the last in the Old Era of Paata Janashvili Cup. Because of the lack of members, competing teams had to take a break, which lasted little more than a year.
