The FIFA.com Club Federation Cup (VII Edition) is the seventh edition of the FIFA.com Club Federation Cup, organized by the FIFA.com Club Federation.

This will be a special edition of the Cup. As the FIFA.com Club Federation is celebrating the coming of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, this tournament will have the same format of this year’s Rugby World Cup.

Nicaragua Bayern George are the defending champions.


Format

Group Stage
During the Group Stage, the 20 teams will be split into four groups of five teams each one. All group winners and runners-up of each group will advance to the Knockout Stage. This time, the groups will be played wtih a single round-robin format. All group stage matches will be held in New Zealand.
Knockout Stage
During knockout stage, a single-elimination tournament (Type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match is inmediately eliminated from winning the championship or first prize in the event) will be played, starting from Quarter Finals, untill the Grand Final. All matches will be played in New Zealand, except the Third Place match and the Grand Final.

If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings (in descending order):

  1. Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
  2. Superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
  3. Superior goal difference from all group matches played;
  4. Higher number of goals scored;
  5. Less WO granted;
  6. Higher number of appearances in the history of the FIFA.com Club Federation Cup.
