Suriname Season 27, or Global Season 52, was the first season in which Rode Ster Paramaribo participated. They played in League III.15.

The Rode Ster Paramaribo stadium, the Karl Marx Arena, had 12.000 seats at the beginning of the season.

Season Summary

The ambition of the team this season was to achieve at least a fourth position in the League, and attain the second round in the Suriname Cup. The team was however immediately confronted with a second-division contender in the cup, and lost heavily in the first round. Focus was on training a future team, and in a lesser way to have a reasonable result in the competition.

Second Team Creation

Following the decision by Hattrick to allow Platinum Members to create a second team in Hattrick, Red Star Brussels went Platinum the very same day. We greeted this occasion wholeheartedly, and asked for a Second Team in Suriname, Paramaribo. The team's name would be Rode Ster Paramaribo, and started operation in Season 52.
