Kumar was discovered by Caribbean Pirates but he never had an appearance with this club, so he was soon transferred to Drinkteam United and he started an specific winger training to reach U20 National Team. When he was almost 20 years old, he was the third best winger of Trinidad & Tobago but some controversy between Trinidad & Tobago coach and Drinkteam United manager didn't allow Kumar making his international debut.

Drinkteam decided then to sold him and Belgian The Chicken McNuggets paid the transfer. It is rumoured that he was didn't fit the team nor the weather and after one season he accepted AC Medellín offer.

In Colombia Kumar achieved his best honours, winning 2 fifth series and playing 83 competitive matches. His appearances raised Peralta de la sal interest and Kumar moved to this Spanish club which is now his current team.
