Bio[edit]
Hólmgeir Unnarsson was a winger and occasionally a wingback who played for FC Sugar Tits. He was an original member of the team.
Hólmgeir's football career began when, as an anthropology student at the University of Iceland, he and his best friend, Pálmi Helgason, learned that tryouts were being held in Dalvik for the startup squad of FC Sugar Tits. Reasoning that they would look good as a pair of Tits, both friends tried out for the team and, to their mutual surprise, both made the team. Hólmgeir played a significant number of minutes in the team's inaugural season, but was used more sparingly in Season 40 and has not appeared in a competitive match since that season.
Hólmgeir's first appearance in an FC Sugar Tits uniform was during a Round 1 Cup match in Season 39 at Happy Valley Arena (the Tits' home arena before completion of The Valley of the Gods) against Bluemoon F.C. on May 15, 2013 (1/39).
Hólmgeir Unnarsson scored 9 career goals in 3 professional seasons. He retired midway through Season 42 at age 33. He was last seen coaching his old junior school team. His glory days are clearly over.
