Varna is the third biggest region in Bulgaria with near 850 active users as of June 2006. Its geographical coordinates are Latitude: 43°13' N, Longitude: 27°55' E. Teams from this region are among the best in Bulgaria. The community is also very active: pub meetings and football games are organized often. There is a regional IRC channel called #ht-varna under the UniBG irc server.

Titles

The Bulgarian National Cup has been won by teams from Varna on three occasions: by Osmi Basein in season 9, by Energy Varna in season 10 and by FC Barcelona in season 11. This means that the cup hasn't left Varna for 3 seasons in a row.

In the championship of Bulgaria season 10 was won by Osmi Basein. This is the only title for Varna in this tournament and this will probably not change in the near future. The reason can be sought in the domination of the teams from Plovdiv and Sofia, but also in that Varna teams tend to concentrate on good cup runs lately. The hopes of Varna within the next few seasons lie in the hands of FC Barcelona, which has build one of the strongest squads in the country, and now is performing well in the Bulgaria's "Vissha Liga".

Competitions

The Varna's Masters begun it's history with a small tournament between 4 of the highest placed teams in Bulgaria - Energy Varna, PFC Aksakovo - 2003, Cryout and Osmi Basein. The cup draw was held at the end of 2004 with a championship structure of the tournament. The first winner is PFC Aksakovo - 2003 who won just 1 point ahead of Energy Varna. Season 13 (BG) begun the second edition with 8 teams participating in. The current champion is defending his title against such teams as Cryout (again) and Real Varna CF. The structure of the second edition is 2 groups with 4 teams each and top 2 qualifies for a 1/2 final etc.

The Cup of Varna was founded in Season 13 (BG). It's organized and managed by valcho. In the first edition there were 16 teams in 4 groups, following the World Cup scheme. The first champion is TICHA who won the final match against DEMON SQUARD with 1:0. This tournament begins early and there are participating mainly low level clubs wich retired from Bulgaria Cup.
