Sponsorship money is one of the sources of income for a Hattrick team. How much sponsorship money a team receives depends on the mood of the team's sponsors, the size of its fan club and its league level. The mood of the sponsors is influenced by two factors: how well the team fares in competitive matches and, more importantly, the number of Spokespersons employed by the team. Sponsor mood is less prone to fluctuation than supporter mood.
New teams rely more on sponsorship income than ticket sales from matches because their supporter base is small and takes over a full season to grow to adequate levels.
