Coppa Italia is the Italian main national cup, and the competition has been held since the global season 11.
Today's format includes 14 rounds, but there have been many variations over the seasons: there were 11 rounds in season 15, 12 rounds in seasons 16 and 17, 13 in seasons 18 and 19, then 14 rounds until season 26. Before cup system Reform of season 56, 32 768 teams participated in the cup and competition was divided in 15 rounds.
Besides, the final has been played with home/away formula from season 11 to 23 (note that data until season 15 are lost).
One of the most memorable finals of all time was in season 61 between the two most titled teams of Italy: I Vermotti against Orda Balorda Urbino (17/05/2016, 0-3).
Also notable was the rivalry between the two cousins of Arezzo Galasocaray and Arezzo, staged in three close challenges: the double match of season 23 and a single final of season 29.
