Portugal (also Portugal in local language) is a Latin European country. It was the 23rd nation to join the Hattrick World.
The Portuguese Republic (Portuguese: República Portuguesa) has a population of 10 millions on an area of 92 212 km2 (35 603 sq mi). Capital and largest city is Lisbon.Portugal is the westernmost and oldest sovereign state of mainland Europe, founded in 868. It also established the first global maritime and commercial empire when Portuguese explorers pioneered maritime exploration. After losing control of Brazil (1822), the 1910 revolution deposed the monarchy. Shortly after 1974, independence was granted to almost all its overseas territories.

- A lot of Portuguese users were involved in the translation, but a special credit goes to -Iceberg-, thanks to which in the end everything worked out.
- Portugal hosted and won World Cup X and NT became champion in that edition.
