Farbowane Lisy vs Dinamo Tulcea was a ladder match played on 17 May 2014.

Match report

Farbowane decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Făgăraş - Nodin, Paina, Gwoździk, Orsós, Contreras - Sommerfeldt, 加藤 (Kato), Racławski - Budai, Walasek.

Dinamo had chosen a strategic 4-3-2 formation. They fielded: Paskum - Detlefsen, Cobby, Beichler, Bolsi - Bercea, Niokane, Tudurean - Dănilă, Negoiţă.

First half

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Farbowane. The referee showed Dinamo's Fausto Bolsi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 14 minutes into the game, Dinamo seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Farbowane were awarded a penalty 18 minutes into the game but Bogdan Racławski produced a poor shot, quite easily saved by Barna Paskum. 31 minutes in, Farbowane's Aleksander Gwoździk received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Farbowane, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

Second half

A review of the gameplan helped Dinamo get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Farbowane made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left Bogdan Racławski completely alone with keeper Barna Paskum, who made a spectacular block. 68 minutes into the game, Dinamo had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. After 72 minutes, the defensive line of Dinamo created a counterattack through the middle that gave Thierno Niokane a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Rich Cobby's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. Ion-Aurel Bercea of Dinamo received a yellow card after 89 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Farbowane, with 79 percent of the ball.

Extra time

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. During the break, Dinamo's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. Farbowane could have put themselves ahead after 101 minutes but Cyryl Walasek missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Dinamo's Marko Detlefsen was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 106 minutes. After 109 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Dinamo found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. Farbowane were very close to putting themselves one up after 110 minutes as Vilmos Orsós got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Still tied after extra time, the crowd was buzzing as the teams prepared for a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.

Penalty shootout

Farbowane's Andrés Contreras showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 1 - 0. Dinamo's Ciprian Tudurean looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 1 - 0. Farbowane's Cătălin-Vasile Făgăraş penalty shot was very well placed but Barna Paskum went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 1 - 0. Dinamo's Thierno Niokane made no mistake. Cătălin-Vasile Făgăraş didn't have a chance. 1 - 1. Farbowane's Silviu Paina drove the ball hard to the corner but couldn't get it past the outstretched arm of Barna Paskum. The score remains 1 - 1. Dinamo's Cristian Negoiţă coolly put the ball past Cătălin-Vasile Făgăraş. 1 - 2. Farbowane's Aleksander Gwoździk kept his cool as he faced down Barna Paskum. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 2 - 2. Dinamo's Bogdan Dănilă was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 2 - 3! A confident Vilmos Orsós of Farbowane put the ball right where he wanted, but Barna Paskum was right there for the save. No goal.

Bogdan Racławski performed admirably for Farbowane. Cătălin-Vasile Făgăraş on the other hand, had a terrible day. Dinamo's top performer was clearly Ciprian Tudurean. Ion-Aurel Bercea was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
