The Durme Islanders

General

The Durme Islanders are managed by Tijl (username: tijldb), whose id is 742366. They are the pride of eastern flanders (altough some might disagree there)

History

The Durme Islanders started back in 2006, when two senior ht'ers convinced Tijl to join the game. After several discussion via phone conference with our brethren, the legendary NY Islanders the Durme Islanders were born. After a lot of fun and lousy results - poor fans - the way up starts in June 2008 with a first place in Series VIII, implying promotion. Celebrations were fun, but not too elaborate resulting in a third place the next season, followed by a second one, also leading to promotion.

Youth

Early 2009 the Middendam Sharks was founded as all the kids around were eager to be part of this- They all have One Dream! One purpose! One vision!: to join the Islanders when they grow up!!
