Specialities
An IM with no specialty is a decent middle ground without penalties. It's probably better than Technical, and is definitely better than an Unpredictable IM without good defending. Here is a ranking of specialities on mid-fielders:
Head is always good. This is probably the best for an IM.
Powerful IM gain a bit of PM/Defending/Scoring in the rain and lose Scoring (which they don't care about) in the sun. The downside is they might get tired early in the sun.
Technical is probably worse than no specialty due to the negative PM rain event, but gains PM in the sun.
Unpredictable is better than nothing with good passing+defending, but is probably the worst specialty without good defending skills.
Quick IMs can stop opposing Quick Forward events; they don't care about the scoring penalty in rain, but have defending penalty in the rain and sun either.
