Hattrick announces DarthFenuz Masters Winner after Penalty Shootout! What is more exciting than to see a Hattrick Masters final where both teams give their all in order to put on a good show for their fans who travelled far to see their team play the perhaps most important match of their lives? Last Thursday imparartenia from Italy and DarthFenuz from Guatemala delivered all that and the winner had to be decided by a penalty shootout. DarthFenuz was ultimately the team that made no mistakes here and therefore handed the Hattrick Master Trophy. In the first half imparartenia appeared to be the stronger team. Not only did they have more ball posession, but also they were able to create some good chances when they had the ball. Fortunately for Darthfenuz their opponents either lacked precision or one of their defenders managed to block the shot. So at half-time break the scoreboard showed the same as when the game started 45 minutes earlier, 0 - 0. 15 minutes later when all players had left their dressing room and back on the pitch again, also DarthFenuz showed their intention to put a ball in the net of their opponents. This almost resulted in a goal some 8 minutes later, but the Italian goalie was attentive. 18 minutes into the second half however it were the Italians to be the first on the scoreboard, 1 - 0, when they found their way through the guests' central defense line. The Guatemalan coach reacted immediately with 2 substitutions. We're not sure if it was because of the substituations or the injury of one imparartenias' starplayers, but with 9 minutes left on the clock, DarthFenuz scored the equalizer, 1 - 1. As no more goals were scored, this meant we had to go into extra time. After a short break the game continued and 13 minutes into extra time it were the Italians who took the lead again, 2 - 1. To the relief of the guatemalan fans, their team once more scored the equalizer. Despite both teams trying to score a late winning goal, a penalty shootout was the only way to get a winner. Both imparartenia and DarthFenuz alternately scored penalties until it was the fifth turn for the Italians. It was a miss and DarthFenuz did not fail and scored the winning penalty and thus making them the latest Hattrick Masters winner.
