Kukec didn't play for any Youth Academy. He was signed for Farmers on the storm in 3rd week of season 57 through scouting network. He was 18 and immediately became reserve goalkeeper behind Dario Cakarun. He mostly played in friendlies from season 57 to the middle of season 62. Then the team owner decided to buy better goalkeeper and found one in Montenegrin Milan Gomilanović. Cakarun then became reserve goalkeeper and Kukec was demoted even further, becoming 3rd choice goalkeeper and seeing no playing time at all in season 63. After Gomilanović was sold in the end of season 64, Kukec was briefly again second-choice playing two friendly games before Roman Goluch was bought. Finally, after Cakarun was named new coach of the team at the begining of season 66, he stopped playing and Kukec is again deputy goalkeeper, playing mainly in secondary cups and friendly games.
