Hattrick International Season 6, or Global Season 69, was the sixth season in which Red Star Tunis participated. They played in League IV.37.
Season Synopsis
Shirts
Red Star Tunis continued with the third of a six-season series of special edition shirts that commemorate shirts worn by the favourite teams of manager Lunacharsky, each in a setting referring to a special period in those teams' history. In season 69, they used the FC Sankt Pauli shirts of the season 2010-11. This was the last year the team played in the Bundesliga, the highest German division.
Stadium
The Red Star Tunis stadium, the Stade Karl Marx, kept its original capacity of 57.000 seats, after an enlargement at the end of the previous season
Season Summary
In the competition, Tunis started well, with two consecutive victories in the first two matches. After a loss against Venezia FBC on matchday 3, they managed to stick to the first position in the league thanks to a victory in the next matchday. However, starting from matchday 5, things started to get worse: two unexpected and undeserved losses against Mosqueteiros de Maputo and Roter Stern Hagelvoll made the team sink to a fifth position. In the end, after a very mitigated season, Red Star Tunis finished fourth in the competition.
In the Cup, the team reached the fourth round in the Hattrick International Cup, in which they closely lost 3-2 on the field of Borgundgavlen from Norway. Tunis then continued in the Sapphire Cup, in which they lost in the third round against Konar.
