Bangladesh is one of the small countries in Hattrick with around 80 users. Currently season 22 is being played. Though Bangladesh has its own language the forums and press are mostly operated in English. This makes Bangladesh ideal for foreign managers to come and communicate with the local managers.

History

Bangladesh was added to Hattrick around 2006. It had less than 30 users for the first couple of seasons and only had two divisions. Around season 8 the user base started to increase and continued increasing to around 100. But in the end of 2012 the country lost almost half of its users. From the beginning Hattrick Bangladesh had some dedicated users and some of them still hangs around. The oldest active team is Brothers Union. The team started playing since 2007.

Senior National Team

Bangladesh began international play in qualifying for World Cup IX. The team has never advanced out of qualification; their best finish is 5th in their group in qualification for World Cup XV, World Cup XVII and World Cup XIX. Bangladesh best wins can be considered to be the wins against Spain and Switzerland.

U-20 National Team

      Main article: Bangladesh U-20 national team

Bangladesh began international play during the final rounds of U-20 World Cup VIII. The team's first official competition was in qualifying for U-20 World Cup IX. Bangladesh has never advanced out of qualification; their best finish is 4th in their group in qualification for U-20 World Cup XI and U-20 World Cup XVIII. A low user base always made it difficult for Bangladesh to get top class youth talents. With the introduction of Youth Academy things improved a lot. Since than Bangladesh U-20 team started to do a lot better and they have wins against giants like U-20 Netherland and U-20 Belgium.
