Vietnam (Việt Nam in local language) is a Far East Asian country. It was the 61st nation to join the Hattrick World.
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the 15th most populous country in the world with an estimated 95.5 million inhabitants. Its capital city is Hanoi, while its most populous city and commercial hub is Ho Chi Minh City, also known by its former name of Saigon. The Proclamation of Independence from France in 1945 ended in the First Indochina War in 1954, and in the division into two rival states, North and South. Following North Vietnamese victory against the USA the Modern Vietnam was established in 1975.
History
- Vietnamese league exists since July 2003. It is one of the six new leagues for global season 20.
- The country was restarted after an error. Due to the error, what appears as season 2 is in fact season 1, season 3 is season 2, etc. For example, the displayed season 36 was the 35th season played (note that the strange data behave is not corrected in the National trophies table below).
- Local season 21 saw division IV being filled up completely during week 10. This growth was mainly due to the addition of the Vietnamese language version a few days before.
- Prior to the start of local season 22, the country was renamed from Vietnam to Việt Nam.
- After season 32, due to a suspected fixed matches incident, the league was entirely banned from game and restarted.
- Vietnam has not hosted any World Cup yet.
