Saudi Arabia (المملكة, al-Saʿūdiyya in Arabic) is a Near East Asian country. It was the 69th nation to join the Hattrick World.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (العربية السعودية, al-Mamlakah al-Suʿūdiyya), sometimes called "the Land of the Two Holy Mosques" in reference to Mecca and Medina, was founded in 1932 with Riyadh, the largest city, as capital.After Petroleum was discovered in 1938, Saudi Arabia became the world's largest oil exporter.
The word "Saudi" is derived from the element as-Saʿūdīyah in the Arabic name of the country, which is an adjective from Al Saud, the dynastic name of the Saudi royal family. Its inclusion expresses the view that the country is the personal possession of the royal family.

History

• Saudi Arabian league exists since March 2004. It is one of the eight new leagues for global season 22.
• It quickly became a very large community, expanded to 2 728 teams, but ten years after the expansion only 3% of teams were still active.
• Saudi Arabia has not hosted any World Cup yet.
